Meet The Teams
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, our team created A2ZUKEY Relay because we’ve missed so many runners, and wanted to give them a reason to get together for a race.
With 7 days to go, we have 43 teams signed up, totalling 158 runners. Because runners are notorious procrastinators when it comes to signing up for races, we think this number will grow to around 65-70 teams by June 12.
Here’s a handful of those teams, and a little bit about them.
PR Run Club “Pain Is A Construct”
Paul, Jack, and Mike have been training together with PR Run Club since the Obama administration. These gents recently returned from a retreat in Traverse City that involved an unhealthy amount of beer flights and hungover runs.
Fifty and Not So Fast / Average 50
Don’t let the name fool you… these women can move. Known locally for their affinity for earlybird miles on the B2B, Melissa, Susie, Christine, and Elizabeth are some of the most fun, caring, and dedicated runners we know.

NOT In It To Win It
Veterans of GLR, Dances With Dirt, DXA2, Gallup Gallop, Moonshine Mile, and about 100 other relay / trail / road races, this ain’t the first rodeo for Lindsey C., Lindsey M., Denise, and John.
Woo’ TC
The odds on favorite according to Fanduel.com, Woodward Track Club’s team is not f****ing around.
Runaway Unicorns
Perennial Boston qualifiers, everyone knows that PR Run Club women are tough as nails. Colleen, Shannon, and Stef are a big reason why.
Altra Turtle Burgers
Alex and Jordan can be found at Ferry Field every Thursday for intervals, immediately followed by a cold beer and burger. Their third runner, Mike Anderson, is our favorite shoe dog for Altra, an official sponsor of A2ZUKEY Relay.
Ann Arbor Track Club
Interesting strategy from the AATC team. Andrew Schofield has recruited two racing newbies (Chandler and Madison) and one ringer (Ian Hancke) for Saturday’s relay.
No Flocks Given
Lauren, Katy, Aubrey, and Connor have made no bones about competing for the Best Team Costume prize. We hope their attire is heat resistant.
BDTC Women
Reigning Gallup Gallop Relay Champs, BDTC has fielded TWO women’s teams. In true Bad Decisions Track Club fashion, one of the team names is too obscene for print. That’s pretty much all you need to know about this motley crew of badass women :)
Feeling inspired? We’ve made it incredibly easy to sign up your team.
